Need napkin rings or placecards for Easter brunch? Sew your own reusable bunny-ears-inspired set, and pen guests' names on with a chalk marker.
- Ultrapreme fabric (I got 3 napkin rings out of 1/4 yd)
- Floral wire
- Sewing machine
- Fabric pencil
- Template
- Chalk marker
Double the fabric, and use the template to cut out two pieces (the bottom of the template should be on the fold).
Pin the two pieces together, right sides facing each other. Leave a gap of about four inches – don't sew it!
Here's a better look at the gap after sewing is complete...
Cut notches out of each ear tip.
Use the gap to turn the ears inside out.
Pen a guest's name on one of the ears.
Thread the floral wire through the gap, into the ears. You might have to bend the wire a little to get both ends in.
Once the wire is safely tucked inside, hand stitch the gap closed.
Twist to create the napkin ring!
Ta-da! I like how they're sort of low-key Easter. Minimalist.
The napkins are from Etsy.
