I think if there's one thing this country can agree on, it's that photobooths are the best. We hit them up at every chance and have photo strips all over the house – but mostly pinned up on the fridge.
I wanted to make a pseudo-snowglobe (confetti instead of snow) Christmas tree ornament using them, but of course I didn't want to alter the originals. Enter scanner!
If you want to make one too, you will need:
- Photobooth strips
- Scanner
- Printer
- Photo-type paper
- Image editing software (optional)
- A clear, fillable ornament
- Confetti (I got mine here)
- Glue stick
- Scissors
First, scan your photobooth strips.
Since the photo paper I had on hand was 3.5" by 5", I used Photoshop to clip out my favorite frames and rearrange them to fit the paper.
I also put a black-and-white filter over them to make the color a little more uniform. (Make sure you print an even number of frames!)
Use the glue stick to glue to frames together, back to back. Trim the edges.
Sprinkle confetti into one half of the ornament, and add the glued together pics! Then twist together the ornament halves to close.
There you have it! I love this ornament because you can give it a shake and see new frames. There's always a smiling face (although some of these beautiful faces are a little distorted by the ornament in these pics). And if you have a scanner/printer already, this is a pretty affordable project!
