What's going on around here:
We were having a quick breakfast at Chiara's apartment after her bachelorette party this past weekend, I noticed the Sunday New York Times laid out on their table. I was struck by how simple and satisfactory an indulgence this was! I think we might subscribe too. I might be romanticizing it a bit, but the thought of coffee and something sweet over the paper on Sunday morning is getting to me.
I went to an awesome bridal shower a few weeks ago, and came across like the COOLEST product. Flings are trash bags that are also trash bags. Yes, I realize this doesn't make sense. They're sturdy and stay standing until they're full, then you can just knot it up and throw it away! (They make recycling bags too.) This isn't sponsored β although the link is an affiliate one β but I need to buy them all. I'm so mad I didn't invent this first.
Mercury in retrograde is over, thank goodness. Who cares if it has a real effect or not? I do know that when life gets a little tougher for me and I think to check this website, its answer is usually yes. And it can be nice to say "it's because Mercury is in retrograde" rather than "sometimes life gets hard for no good reason."
Kristie bought me flowers for our anniversary β smaller blooms surrounding a giant pink peony. (She hadn't even seen my peony shout-out on Instagram that day!) That flower was so giant and delicious-looking, and kept our house smelling amazing for a few days. And then all of a sudden it turned white, pure as the driven snow! Has that happened to you?
Three happy things: I bought a Zara blazer on eBay for an upcoming wedding and it is exactly what I was looking for; I've finished painting and rearranging the craft room (for the most part) and it is so open and lovely now; I've finished Kristie's sweater (just in time for the thermometer to hit 91ΒΊ), and already started on a new knitting project.
