Is it bad that I wish we were headed for a blizzard this weekend like the rest of the east coast?! Yes, that's bad. My snowboots have started leaking and neither of us is ready to brave the grocery store tonight (although I am not immune to pre-snow-panic so I will probably be there passive-aggressively bumping my cart through the crowd). Even though worst-case scenario we'll get 2 inches, there's something in New Englanders' DNA that starts whispering milkbreadeggs, milkbreadeggs, milkbreadeggs as soon as the weather forecast calls for a snowflake or two.
Okay, okay. I'm glad we're not going to get snowed in. We have a two-year-old's birthday party to go to tomorrow, and we might be going to go look at some houses for sale (!) on Sunday. But when we're not doing those things, you might be able to find Kristie and I in a homemade fort in the living room, drinking hot chocolate and pretending we have no choice but to stay inside all day :)
Things to do this weekend:
- Pick up some tips for making office friends
- Learn about the rise of "buy me once" shopping
- Celebrate that male birth control is a thing
- Learn how to change a tire
- Follow me on Twitter – I've been posting a "pin of the day"
- Make spiked lollipops
My goals for the coming week:
- Cross-stitch something
- Try to keep the house neat
- Watch more "Making A Murderer" (do you think he did it??)
- Do laundry
- NOT start any more books until I finish at least one of the three I'm in the middle of
- Finish major planning for two fun events this spring
