More on Instagram (Margarita mix recipe here)
Oh, weekend. I'm so happy you're here! It's been busy at work (but good busy, the very best kind of busy, that makes me so glad to work here). Regardless of how happy I am with my new job three months in, I have lots to do right now in the way of finishing Christmas gifts, wrapping presents, doing laundry (!), and generally getting our house in the kind of shape that supports mental health. You know what I mean? My anxiety is definitely triggered during the holidays when things aren't organized or clean in our home. And right now it feels like everything (both stressful and celebratory) is overflowing: to-do lists, Netflix queues, cocktail parties, coupons, travel plans, hitting the snooze button one too many times. We're so lucky; life is so full right now. I'm looking forward to spending the weekend dialing down some of the more stressful aspects, so Kristie and I can make even more room for the celebrating :)
Things to do this weekend...
- Regrow kitchen scraps
- Follow her on Instagram
- Memorize anything
- Watch balloons pop in slow motion (it's so cool!)
- Help a loved one going through a hard time
- I have four words for you: baby polar bear dreaming
- Download a free holiday wallpaper for your phone
- Check out 3D printed sneakers made from ocean trash
- Buy a feminist children's book for the kids on your holiday list
My goals for the coming week:
- FINISH all most of my homemade gifts, and wrap everything!
- Sell my old sewing machine
- Take Samson for a long walk
- Watch more "Jessica Jones"
- Send in a bag of clothes to thredUP (<-- use that link for $20 off your first order!)
- Clean my office before leaving for winter break
- Take a new headshot!
