More on Instagram
I'm going to try something a little different with this week's list. Instead of "the best links," I wanted to share actions -- things that we can do, try, practice, talk about, plan for. Are you into that? It feels better to me...kind of like setting our intentions for the days ahead.
In that spirit, I'm also going to start listing my goals for the coming week (in part, to remind myself that weekdays can hold just as much promise and opportunity and magic as Saturday and Sunday). This list, when I do remember to write it down, comes to life on one (or more) scraps of paper that inevitably get lost or thrown away or eaten by the dog. I like having it here better.
Things to do this weekend:
- Train your voice to sound more powerful
- Learn why hair turns grey
- Get lost in 40 vintage photos of Frida Kahlo
- Adjust your sewing machine tension
- Debate the merits of a selfie museum (I think it sounds like fun!)
- Plan to watch The Sound of Music in theaters this April
- Follow her on Instagram
My goals next week:
- Figure out if we can go see Mike Birbiglia this summer (he cracks me up)
- Start planning our next roadtrip to Virginia
- Try my best to keep my desk neat and my office clean (it just makes being at work so much easier)
- Find a recipe for brussels sprouts that Kristie would like
- Write down which bills need to be paid before we leave for Paris
- Play around with the movie settings on my camera
- Go for a run with the dog
- Find a pack-n-play to borrow when Nina and Lily come to visit in May
- Bring some ice cream to our neighbors because otherwise I will eat it ALL
