I'm mildly obsessed with putting photos on pretty much everything, and I knew I wanted to try it on Easter eggs this year. Well, the process turned out to be simple!
I picked a few Instagram pictures -- the ones that worked best were cropped to about 1"x1". These were one of Kristie and I, and one of my sister Phoebe when she was tiny (we're gonna miss her at Easter this year, but she'll be bringing our family tradition of egg-cracking to London for the weekend!). Anyway, I laid out the photos in PhotoShop and printed them on a sheet of temporary tattoo paper. Then I simply cut them out, and applied them to hard-boiled eggs with a wet paper towel, just like you would to skin!
I have to admit I struggled a little at first to keep the tattoo from sliding while it was transferring. It took a couple tries before I got one to transfer just right.
Once the tattoos had dried, I used gold leaf paint to frame the little photos.
I'm a big fan :) How cute would these be with a sonogram?!
(Oh, and I realized it kind of looks like my sister is picking her nose in this photo, but I promise she's not.)
