There's something of a hair rennaisance happening in these parts. When I was in high school, I dyed my hair near constantly -- red, black, dark dark brown, blonde highlights -- you name it, I did it in a friend's kitchen. That pattern halted in college, and my hair has been its natural color for almost ten years. Well, had been. When we were at the Cape last month, my sister helped me dye ombre highlights (I don't know why I have such an aversion to getting my hair colored professionally -- probably the cost?) that I have really really been enjoying. I've been trying to grow my hair out (this is the longest it's ever been) and making this tiny change soothed a little antsy part of myself that wanted something different.
But now that I've had the ombre for awhile, the itch is coming back for something new! Plus I had a dream last night that I had bangs. They looked awful, but I loved them. It might just have been a premonition!
