As part of our quest to save as much money as possible, I made my own eye makeup remover a few weeks ago. It went...surprisingly well.
For the past few years, I've bought those disposable makeup remover sheets, but the guilt of tossing one into the trash every time I used it was starting to get to me, in addition to the unpronounceable ingredients and, you know, the cost.
Well, the makeup remover is just the beginning. It works so well (and cost so little), I can't wait to switch to more homemade beauty products.
Another upside? A lot of DIY beauty products are natural, too. A few I can't wait to try:
- Natural makeup brush cleanser (because the last time I cleaned my makeup brushes was literally never)
- Crayon lipstick
- Blemish cream
- Soap on a rope
- Natural deodorant
- Sea salt hairspray
I want to know what you do. Do you make your own beauty products at home, or buy them?
PS - DIY foaming soap and homemade laundry detergent.
