Yes, it actually works! And saves money, too. Try making up a batch of your own laundry detergent this weekend. All of the ingredients can be found at Target or online, and they go a long way.
You will need:
- 1 cup washing soda (not baking soda!)
- 1 cup Borax
- 1 bar of Fels Naptha laundry soap, grated
Combine ingredients and store in an airtight container. I use one spoonful per load, which is more than enough.
