I thought for the longest time that this was a tradition exclusive to my family. Little did I know egg-cracking has its own Wikipedia entry! My grandpa grew up with this fun game at Easter, and it was passed on to my mom and her brothers and sister, and then to us as well. Now it's the most anticipated part of our Easter celebrations! I took the opportunity while we were all together at Easter two weekends ago to interview my grandpa (he speaks kind of quietly in the video), my mom, her brothers, her sister, and my cousin about the history of egg-cracking in our family and why it's a source of such pride -- and controversy.
