This past weekend I returned to the campus of my alma mater (a full fifteen minutes away from where I live, hey-oh!) with some of the most important women in my life to celebrate our five-year reunion at Mount Holyoke College. I have plenty of pictures here of reunion traditions (like the Laurel Parade, in which everyone wears white, sings songs, and lays a wreath of laurel around our founder's grave) and our long weekend spent eating, drinking, and hanging around outside in our backyard if you'd like to see...
You can order your own edition of Mount Holyoke-opoly online!
It was the perfect weekend. Reunion is such a good excuse to gather these people close around. Being back on campus with my two friends Chiara and Katy (do you recognize them from my wedding party?) made it feel like we'd time-travelled right back to 2009 (goofiness included). But it's really nice to know them now -- now that we're older, more mature at least paying our own cell phone bills, and bringing new amazing people into the fold through our relationships. At the risk of sounding unbelievably corny (and getting weepy at work), I love these women. I know we'll be friends for the rest of our lives, and I'm grateful to Mount Holyoke for bringing us together over and over.
More reunion fun coming soon, like Mike's famous grilled asparagus recipe and a DIY photo booth backdrop we used!
PS - Dorm style, how to keep in touch with long-distance friends, and a college student care package.
