I've wanted to try gold-leafing for awhile, and was happy when I found this vase at the local Salvation Army for $1. I headed to the craft store to get the gold leaf supplies...but it was all expensive and complicated. I ended up going with a one-step liquid leaf paint -- cheaper and so much easier. There's just one step!
I used painter's tape as a guide, and painted one layer of gold leaf paint onto the glass. If you try this, make sure all your strokes are going in the same direction.
And how pretty is freesia?
PS - A gold leaf mirror upgrade and an etched mason jar vase.
