Scrambling to find a coaster for this beeswax candle (a holiday gift from one of my coworkers) in our newly redecorated bedroom, I remembered the photo transfer Christmas ornament DIY and grabbed one of the spare branch slices left over from that project.
A few coats of clear protective gloss enamel spray paint later, I had a durable, rustic coaster.
It also begs to have a mug of hot chocolate on top, don't you think? I want to try painting the bark before sealing next time.
