Two of my friends are currently expecting baby girls, so I've been crafting my heart out before the little ladies arrive (one is due in December and the other in January!). It's such an exciting time, and how fun is it to make tiny things? The projects go quickly since they're so small, and the result is always so cute. I even sewed two baby bibs using this pattern!
One of my favorite projects was a knit colorblock baby blanket, based on a pattern by the Purl Bee. I used colors that are complementary to a certain nursery that's currently in progress, and made sure to choose yarn that's machine-washable.
It's a simple stitch, a very easy project, and really flew by. Although I watched a lot of "Breaking Bad" while making it...gotta hope that stuff doesn't transfer.
I hope the new baby and her mama like it!
P.S. Knit a baby pumpkin hat.
