Last year, the night before Thanksgiving, my mom asked me to make up some cards for everyone to fill out during dinner the next day. I used scrap paper and scrawled "I am thankful for..." at the top of each one with a Sharpie. (See them here.) All our guests filled out the cards anonymously while waiting for Thanksgiving dinner, and my mom read them aloud during dessert. It was a really nice way to make the holiday a little more meaningful, and the answers brought more than one of us to tears.
She asked me to do it again this year, and since I had a few days' notice, I cut some rough squares from brown craft paper and stamped the prompt.
Seventeen of them are ready to go for Turkey Day! I think they'd look great as part of a harvest-themed place setting, too.
PS - See how I made those silk pumpkins, and more stamping in action: save-the-dates and place cards.
