It's true -- we love our iPhones. And not just because they make us cool or we can now call and text each other, but also because of all the useful apps and tools we can access now. (And some that are...not so useful. Yes, I downloaded the Tamagotchi app, okay? But I got sick of it after five minutes, just like I did with all real Tamagotchis when I was 11.)
Here are some of our favorites:
Photo Editing & Design
- A Beautiful Mess (top left), $0.99
- Over (top right; I especially like the overlays designed by Megan Gilger), $1.99
- Vsco Cam (bottom left), free
- Studio (bottom right; great guide on how to use it here) , free
Entertainment
- Netflix (I haven't tried this or Hulu Plus yet, but I'm looking forward to having them for an upcoming business trip), free
- Hulu Plus, free
- Radiolab (This app is seriously changing my life. For $2.99, I can listen to *all* Radiolab podcasts back to 2007 during my commute to work. Especially grateful for it during NPR fundraising season [sorry]. I especially like being able to download episodes so I don't have to worry about whether or not I have service.)
- This American Life (Same here. I'm going through Radiolab first, then tackling This American Life episodes back to 1995.), $2.99
Just for Fun
- 5 shopping apps
- 5 must-have decorating apps (How cool is that level?)
- 9 organizational apps for bloggers
- An app that tells you the best time to go to the bathroom during a movie
