When Kristie and I were in New York City last week, we took the plunge and finally got iPhones.
The 5c, to be specific. We have T-Mobile, so the phones were $0 down, and payments were broken up over 24 months. Since they don't have contracts anymore, our final monthly bill ended up being...almost exactly what we were paying pre-iPhone. The 5c is cheaper than the 5S because there's less storage, but at 16 GB (the same storage capacity as Kristie's iPad), we're not worried.
I'm so glad we did this -- primarily because we now have working phones! My Blackberry was at the end of its lifespan, frequently refusing to turn on, and Kristie's Android had a cracked screen and was very good at not letting her know when people (like me) were calling. She was actually phoneless for about a week once it finally kicked the bucket.
Anyway, we upgraded while visiting friends in Harlem. Our T-Mobile store is basically in the middle of nowhere, and was totally out of the iPhone 5c. We walked into the store on 125th and the guy was like, "Oh yeah, we have every color." Harlem for the win!
I'm really enjoying having an iPhone (said everyone ever). It's fast, it's easy, and I feel super organized. My whole calendar's in there, all my contacts, three email accounts, and a few fun apps. Kristie really likes hers, too.
The only problem? We both got white. Time for some covers!
