We're back!
Kristie and I are home from our honeymoon. "Amazing" seems like a tawdry and overused word sometimes, but that's what this trip was -- amazing. We ate great food, lied on the beach sipping cocktails and mango smoothies, swam with a dolphin, and explored a beautiful city together. The Dutch-Caribbean island of Curacao was a great choice for us -- everybody was friendly and laidback (although living on "Caribbean time" took some getting used to for me). It was a dream of a week!
I hope you enjoyed the guest posts from Amanda, Nicole, and Juliette. I'm so grateful they took the time to step in with awesome DIYs, round-ups, and tips.
As you might imagine, we took quite a few photos during our honeymoon. I'm going to separate them into more than one post so as not to overwhelm (and so that I can keep enjoying the process of going through them).
We spent our first day exploring the hotel, and made a trip to a local grocery store to stock up on snacks and breakfast food. It was a little cloudy, but that didn't dampen our excitement about the beach and palm trees!
The hotel staff made our stay really incredible, especially with the decorations for our first night.
I still can't get over the paint colors that are popular down there. Everything was so bright and beautiful!
