I've never been a huge breakfast person. Give me a bowl of cereal, and I'm good. But I'm always happy to try something new, and when Glutino offered to send me some of their gluten-free toaster pastries, I was excited to say yes. I really liked the apple cinnamon flavor (I'm much more of a savory person, especially in the morning). They were surprisingly soft and moist.
In cool gluten-free news, the Food & Drug Administration recently announced new regulations that make shopping for GF food safer and easier. "Under the new guidelines, only foods containing 20 parts per million of gluten or less can be labeled and marketed as gluten-free," USA Today writes.
To celebrate the new regulations, I'm hosting my very first giveaway! Two readers will win two boxes of Glutino Gluten-Free Toaster Pastries (one strawberry and one apple cinnamon). To enter, just leave a comment on this post before next Thursday, August 29. I'll announce the winner on Friday, August 30. Good luck!!
P.S. A recipe for gluten-free cronuts.
