We're back from five days in Virginia visiting Kristie's family and friends! The drive took about nine hours each way, but was actually a lot of fun. (It was a little strange, however, to be celebrating the Supreme Court's DOMA ruling one day, and then hear donation requests for Focus on the Family on the radio the next day as soon as we crossed into Pennsylvania.) It was such a nice trip; we spent lots of time with Kristie's MawMaw, her four-year-old nephew Jacob, and her friends and their awesome kids. I can't wait to share more photos from our adventures -- like visits to the White Oak Lavender Farm, an antiques mall, and the Green Valley Book Fair!
We celebrated the Fourth of July yesterday at a barbecue with friends. This weekend we'll be checking out a few tag sales and flea markets, gardening, and getting some work done on the front porch! (Look: progress.) Do you have a few extra days off thanks to the holiday? What projects are you tackling?
