last weekend kristie + i sent out the save-the-dates for our may wedding! we had stamped most of them in august (over-achievers much?) once we'd picked the date, but had a mini-marathon collecting everybody's addresses, buying postage stamps + sending the cards on their way.
we spent lots of time since getting officially engaged last winter sourcing vintage postcards. kristie + i tried to get a good mix of postcards from our home states (virginia + connecticut) with lots of massachusetts in there too of course. a few we picked just because they were so pretty! we found a lot of postcards at local flea markets + kristie got some good batches from ebay.
we made sure to specify on the back that our wedding will be held in whately, massachusetts + not in ct or va.
i hand-stamped + wrote the info + we used this stamp from paper source to give the postcards an extra-special touch.
i'm so glad we did our save-the-dates this way. they reflect our style + were really affordable (always important).
