the past week has been chaotic + comforting at the same time. it's getting to be that cozy kind of weather that means it's more socially acceptable to stay in (and with the premieres of american horror story + the walking dead, we've got some seriously great tv to watch) and burrow in blankets with a certain very sweet dog. i'm making a lot of headway with christmas gifts, crafting + knitting all i can while i still have time. our jill + jill engagement party thrown by friends was amazing -- it was fabulous to be surrounded so many people we love, all in the same room. this weekend, we saw a david sedaris reading saturday night after mexican food and before the annual northampton zombie pub crawl (thanks to say yes to hoboken for our costume idea! we were zombie versions of the robbers).
i need some advice. classic movies have been making appereances in our lives lately -- i watched gone with the wind for the very first time over the weekend with my momma (and vowed to name my future chickens melanie wilkes + bonnie blue butler), and kristie and i watched papillon (1973). judging by her reaction, we're going to need more steve mcqueen in our lives! do you have any recommendations?
