I'm off for the next few weeks to surround myself with family members, drink egg nog, bake macarons, stay in pajamas all day, sew one thing (maybe two), have staring contests with the dog, play records, make real breakfasts, finish the final season of "Downton Abbey," and make pledges and promises to myself to be thought of often, but not employed until the new year. I treasure you, and I hope the rest of your year is full of the same and better. See you in 2017!
This illustration is by Madalina Andronic and I can't get enough of the colors. I want to buy a print and hang it in our living room. Would it be strange to have a winter scene up all year long?
