“My advice to girls is just to be obsessed with things and find value in that obsession. Be able to turn that into something that makes you feel like your life is worth living, not necessarily just in relation to your career, but on a mental health level, too.”

What's going on around here
Kristie and I got bundled up a few weeks ago and went to a march/rally for resistance and love in downtown Northampton. I'd only learned about it on Facebook an hour or so before it started, so it felt like an unexpected way to spend our day – but there couldn't have been a more perfect thing for us to do. I cried, chanted, laughed, hugged. It felt so good to be mourning and planning with these people. Kristie and I remarked to each other more than once how much we love living here. More action coming soon, I'm sure of it.
Bag Day was a huge success as usual, but especially I got to spend it with some of my favorite people!
My anxiety's been picking up a little bit lately. I'm trying to be mindful about doing what I can before it hits – like exercising regularly, keeping up with my medication, drinking lots of water, and practicing kindness toward myself.
I've started a bullet journal. I don't know how I feel about it yet, truly, but I'm going to keep scribbling and see what value it brings to my life.
Feeling this quote: "We can disagree and still love each other unless your disagreement is rooted in my oppression and denial of my humanity and right to exist." – James Baldwin. Keeping this in my back pocket the next time someone says we all just need to love each other no matter what. (PSA: We don't.)
We're going to try and wrap up Christmas shopping this weekend! #prayforus
Lots of Heartless Bastards on Pandora lately. And working on some BIG changes for this space.
