Making peppermint patties last weekend. I used this recipe -- so much easier than you might think!
One of the charms on the Brooklyn Charm bracelet Kristie gave me for Valentine's Day. Sadly I lost the tiny whale while we were in Canada! I miss him.
If you blinked, you might have missed it yesterday: the green smell, the birdsong, the sun.
Sometimes that feels like the happiest thing about winter -- eventually, even if it's dragging its feet about it, it brings with it the promise of spring just around the bend. The sunshine-soaked fantasies are starting to creep into my psyche. Crawfish skittering over our legs in the river; bike rides with the ultimate goal of breakfast sandwiches; the most charming vintage dresses at the flea market, boasting a price tag of only $10 (now if only I could remember the name of that vendor...). I want it all. I may have learned how to love winter this time around, but it really can't stand up to all that summer brings!
What do you think? Are you anxious for warm weather too, or do you love the coziness of winter?
